Maintenance Fitter - Carrum Downs 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice - complete your trainning with us. The Role: Providing trade assistance towards the upkeep, installation, and troubleshooting of all plant and machinery, with a focus on safety, efficiency targets and minimal downtime. The role will involve the following responsibilities Onsite mechanical work – welding and fabrication Ability to assess and implement safety procedures Undertake proactive and preventative maintenance Fault finding and repairs on manufacturing equipment Liaising with other trades, contractors, maintenance, and production management Maintain stock levels of spare parts and consumable items to assist in production Update and maintain preventative maintenance records on works carried out Actively seek opportunities to improve operations performance whilst improving system reliability and reducing overall downtime Mentoring/ training of apprentice Requirements: Applicant should be capable of heavy lifting - this is a hands-on roll. We are seeking an apprentice wall & floor tiler to join our small, family ompany.    About our Business We are a husband and wife team who contract licenced trades, plumber, electrician, cabinet maker and glazier as we specialise in bathroom and wet area renovations and tiling. We are a licenced builder and a wall & floor tiler, you will learn all aspects of how to perform a bathroom renovation and all wall & floor tiling projects. The supervisor has been tiling for 20 years and performing bathroom renovations for 15 years, the employer established their bathroom renovation company in 2019 which is their main source of work. We are based in the Adelaide Hills where majority of work is and covers the north east and eastern suburbs of Adelaide too. Some days you will start in Woodside or meet on-site and sometimes finish up in Woodside. Some days we will be at one site and other days we could be at several sites, there is room in the work vehicle so you don't always have to drive your own vehicle. The start time is at 7 / 7:30am and work 8 hours per day, some days are shorter and some days might be longer depending on the scope of work.  Duties will involve:  demolition work & tile removal concreting rendering insulation & wall linings carpentry tiling (screed, waterproof, wall & floor tiling, grout, silicone and install accessories) The successful candidate will:   Be a confident communicator.  Be keen to learn and take direction.  Motivated with good problem-solving skills.  Be trustworthy and reliable.  Be safety conscious.  Confident to use power tools (drill and angle grinder). Work unsupervised for short periods of time. Strong and fit to perform physical tasks.
